Flashback Friday: Gayle and Lee at the Glen Iris Inn at Letchworth State Park

Gayle and Lee were married on a gorgeous day in the most beautiful of locations, at the Glen Iris Inn within the awe-inspiring Letchworth State Park.   Mandy at Images Unveiled was on hand to capture these equally magnificent photos.

Gayle wore an amazing, lace, strapless Pronovias gown. Joan Lincoln was on hand for some flawless bridal makeup.  Gayle and Lee chose to do a first look before their ceremony, and they got some fantastic documentation of the touching moment.  I felt honored to be able to take a peak through the windows!  The Letchworth backdrop could not have been more beautiful.  You just felt transported in time.
Gayle and I share a love of a so many of the details incorporated into her big day from her birdcage veil to her white parasol.  Gayle and Lee used a black and white color palette with Tanzanite blue details, inspired by her fabulous engagement ring.   Both passionate about travel, they incorporated a travel theme with a vintage Parisian flair (one of their first trips together was to Paris). Tossing bags filled with lavender buds and dried petals (from flowers given to Gayle from Lee since the first day they met) were presented to guests as they entered the ceremony.  Guests were also given cold, personalized water bottles and fans (presented in a vintage suitcase) to stay cool. The programs were printed on a vintage-style Parisian postcard.  Lee’s dad officiated the beautiful ceremony.  Jeff James played the couple’s favorite Beatles tunes throughout the ceremony.  The bridesmaids carried parasols in lieu of flowers.  The phenomenal Bouquets by Bonnie did the  flowers seen throughout.
In one of my favorite details and something I took great care in setting up, guests were directed to their tables with luggage tag escort cards.  Each table was named after a city Gayle and Lee visited together.  Guests were encouraged to get comfortable and to put their dancing shoes on with a basket of flip-flops as they entered the reception.  Guests enjoyed their signature cocktail, “Passport to Bliss:” Hypnotiq, Orange Vodka, Lime Juice, and Soda Water as well as wines Gayle and Lee personally selected for the reception – favorites from their travels!  Table cards were framed pictures of Gayle and Lee at each city.  Love this detail!  It was also very fun and interactive for guests!  Customized menu cards were placed at each place setting.
Cheesy Eddie’s made the DELICIOUS cheesecakes for dessert with a homemade blueberry sauce was available on the side.  (I can still taste how fabulous this cheesecake was!)  After dinner, everyone made their way into the tent.  Guests showered Gayle and Lee with the petals and lavender buds!  They danced their first dance as husband and wife under the beautiful tent.  Rather than signing a traditional guest book, guests were invited to take fun pictures at a photo station.  Everyone had tons of goodies to personalize their photo and their page in the guest book!  Infused water was available to guests throughout the evening – perfect on a summer night!  At the end of the evening, Gayle made a quick change into a gorgeous Tanzanite blue gown.
It was a thrill for me to help plan a wedding infused with so many personal details; it was an added benefit that I happen to just love all things vintage and Parisian!

And I can't help but share a couple engagement pics.  Gorgeous!
